Drip pans are used to avoid the access to the bottom strand of the conveyor to eleminate the risk of personal injuries and as a collection point to protect the floor and the components from drops in case of conveyance of oily or wet elements. Drip pans are fixed to the conveyor’s beam through peculiar brackets.
If the drip pan is used as a protection, it must be set vertically in order to reduce the possibility of access to the chain return.
